Food is at the heart of The Herbert Arms.
Our menus are built around quality local produce, carefully sourced meat and the kind of generous, straightforward cooking that suits a proper village pub.

Steaks worth making the journey for

Our steaks are selected for flavour, aged with care and cooked over the chargrill. Choose from classic cuts including ribeye, sirloin and fillet, or make more of the occasion with a 32oz rump, Chateaubriand or our signature Butcher’s Block.

The Butcher’s Block is made for sharing, bringing together four different premium cuts for the table. It’s a celebration of great beef, proper butchery and the simple pleasure of sitting down to food that has been done well.

More than the grill

Alongside the steaks, you’ll find proper pub favourites and seasonal dishes, from Braised Beef & Ale Pie to Fish & Chips, homemade desserts and changing specials built around what’s good at the time.

It’s food with a clear sense of place: local where possible, generous on the plate and familiar enough to feel comforting, while still giving you a reason to come back and try something new.
